Deacons' Ministry

The deacons' ministry is to provide for:

  • the growth of church family members through a ministry of fellowship and mutual support and
  • the pastoral care of the congregation through a ministry of sympathy, witness, and service.

Twelve Deacons, elected by the congregation, lead the congregation in the church's internal ministry of fellowship, sympathy, witness, and service.  The Deacons are tasked with specific responsibilities in fulfilling their ministry.  Each deacon leads or co-leads a mission and all deacons join in shared missions.  Deacons serve a three year term.  Sherry Kolder is the 2010 Moderator.
